Hocus-pocus (Alt: Abracadabra) is a 2^nd class active skill available as Sage and Scholar.

Casts a random skill among character, monster, and a few exclusive skills. Skill Level affects the variety of skills that can be cast, and the level of the randomly selected skill if applicable. Each cast consumes two Yellow Gemstones.

• If the user is equipped with a headgear with the Mistress Card or is benefiting from the Power Cord skill, this skill will require one Yellow Gemstone instead.
• On iRO, this skill has been disabled in War of Emperium Castles, town maps, and dungeon maps.^{<ref>https://forums.warpportal.com/index.php?/topic/6594-ragnarok-patch-notes-12292010/</ref>}

• Target: Monster
• Effect: Tames the targeted monster without the need of a Taming Item. Only works on monsters that can become Cute Pets.
• Notes: This skill shows up as "????" ingame prior targeting it on a monster.

• Target: Monster
• Effect: Transforms the targeted monster into an MVP. If used on a mini boss, the boss will not spawn again until the created MVP is killed. These MVPs, like regular MVPs, are considered Free for All.
• Notes: This skill shows up as "????" ingame prior targeting it on a monster.

• Target: Self
• Effect: Drops the user's HP and SP down to 1.

• Target: Monster
• Effect: Steals zeny from the targeted monster without fail.
• Notes: This skill is no longer available from Hocus-pocus.

• Target: Self
• Effect: Transforms the user's head into an orc head.

• Target: Self
• Effect: Displays the Gravity logo on the user's head.

• Target: Monster
• Effect: Delivers instant death to the targeted monster without receiving any experience or items from it. Cannot be used on boss monsters.
• Notes: This skill shows up as "????" in game prior to targeting it on a monster.

• Target: Self
• Effect: Grants 10% of the required base experience to the next level. If the user is benefiting from the Mental Sensing skill, experience is increased further.
• Notes: This skill is no longer available from Hocus-pocus.

• Target: Monster
• Effect: Transforms the targeted monster into a Poring. If used on a mini boss, the boss will not spawn again until the created Poring is killed. Cannot be used on boss monsters.
• Notes: This skill shows up as "????" in game prior to targeting it on a monster.

• Target: Self
• Effect: Summons a random monster. These monsters are considered Free for All.

• Target: Self
• Effect: Shows the /? emote.

• Target: Self
• Effect: Fully restores HP and SP.

• Target: Self
• Effect: Delivers instant death to the user, losing experience in the process.
