Talk to Octopus Festival Staff (Malangdo 160/139)Paste Ingame.
Talk to Roin (Malangdo 164/138)Paste Ingame.
Talk to Octopus Festival Staff again. He mentions about rats overrunning the festival and asks you to check on the Warnut on the island.
Go to (Malangdo 240/196)Paste Ingame and you'll automatically talk to the Warnut. It'll ask you to check the status of the other Warnut at Prontera.
Go to (Prontera 130/41)Paste Ingame and you'll automatically talk to the next Warnut. It'll ask you to check the status of the other one in Payon.
Go to (Payon 216/105)Paste Ingame and you'll automatically talk to the last Warnut.
Kill 10 What a cheap Rat in any map with monsters during the event.
Report back to Roin (Malangdo 164/138)Paste Ingame and he will give you a random rewards, 1 A bundle of shiny hair, and 5 Warnut's Chocolate.
- To repeat the quest, talk to Roin after the cooldown have passed. The quest will be started from step 7.
- Roin will remove the quest cooldown immediately if the player give him a Silvervine Fruit.
- New Year Headgear Machine (Malangdo 167/139)Paste Ingame will give a Costume Bull Head if the player give it 5 A bundle of shiny hair.

This quest or instance can be repeated. This quest or instance has a 30 minutes cooldown period.

Bring Fresh Octopus Leg to Mimyo (malangdo 206/145)Paste Ingame in Malangdo. Once Mimyo receives 2,021 Fresh Octopus Leg from the server, there will be a server-wide announcement stating the beginning of the festival. The festival lasts until the supply of Fresh Octopus Legs runs out and Mimyo requests another 2021 of them.
At (Malangdo 164/130)Paste Ingame interact with the Delicious Looking Food or Well Roasted Octopus Leg (you can only pick one).
A Fresh Octopus Leg will be consumed for 10 Donut. Come back in 30 minutes to get more donuts.

Try to find the taste of hometown

This quest or instance can be repeated. This quest or instance has a 20 hours cooldown period.

Head to the Payon Inn (Payon 219/112)Paste Ingame and Hyul will automatically talk to you.
Talk to Hyul again, twice, and help him clean the mess.
Check out the Cauldron (Payon 225/109)Paste Ingame. It allows the player to create 2 items:
- Freshly Boiled Octopus Rice Cake Soup (Freshly Boiled Octopus Tteokguk). This item is needed to complete the quest and can only be created once every 20 hours.
  - 5 Fresh Octopus Leg
  - 2 Rice Cake (automatically dropped by both Octopus event monsters when on quest)
  - Kill 5 Octopus Leg
  - Kill 2 Peco Peco Egg
- Boiled Octopus Rice Cake Soup (Boiled Octopus Tteokguk). This item is a consumable that restores 50% HP and SP during the Lunar New Year Event period. Can't be used to complete the quest.
  - 5 Fresh Octopus Leg
  - 5 Rice Cake
Talk to Hyul and he'll want to deliver the Freshly Boiled Octopus Rice Cake Soup to one of the elders. The Elder NPCs are in the following order each day:
- Elderly in Alberta (Alberta 105/74)Paste Ingame
- Elderly in Prontera (Prontera 101/322)Paste Ingame
- Elderly in Geffen (Geffen 114/175)Paste Ingame
- Elderly in Al De Baran (aldebaran 97/127)Paste Ingame
- Elderly in Payon (Hyul's Mom) (Payon 229/151)Paste Ingame
After delivering the item to the designated elder, you will receive 1 Lucky Bag and 1 Hanbok bag.
Head back to (Payon 219/112)Paste Ingame and talk with Hyul again after 20 hours to repeat the quest again.
After delivering the Tteokguk to the last npc in Payon, you will receive 5 Lucky Bag and 5 Hanbok bag.
- You can trade 2 Rice Cake (event item from the Cauldron Quest) for 1 Hanbok bag. Note that the Rice Cake quits dropping when you complete the quest to make an item from the Cauldron.
- If you give Hyul Freshly Boiled Octopus Rice Cake Soup (Freshly Boiled Octopus Tteokguk) after completing all npc deliveries, you will receive 1 Lucky Bag
