Thanatos Tower Quest

 Notes:
 * After the 6th floor, when you log out, you will be sent back to your save point. 
 * Keys and Charms cannot be put into storage or dropped. 
 * If player still has any color Charm Stone from before and wishes to enter floor 7+ again, they need to sell all Charm Stone to NPC to proceed.

1. Head to Thanatos Tower entrance and pay Tower Keeper (hu_fild01 140/162)Paste Ingame 5,000 zeny to enter.
2. On Thanatos Tower 1F find the Representative NPC (tha_t01 148/74)Paste Ingame who is looking for recruits for those wishing to explore the tower. Sign up with her for the quest. Then head to floor 2.
3. 2F east side Entrance Guide NPC (tha_t02 231/161)Paste Ingame blocks the entrance to 3F. At least 5 or more players need to be near the NPC to open the portal to 3F.
   • It's not required that you be in the same party to enter. If you have not received the quest from step 1, you will not be able to enter this portal.
4. On 3F, you'll find a Rune Device in the southwest corner (tha_t03 66/67)Paste Ingame to obtain a Red Key.
   • With a Lv. 4 weapon equipped, you can pry the device to get the key.
5. On 4F (tha_t04 60/141)Paste Ingame, you'll find a second Rune Device in the northeast corner (tha_t04 199/194)Paste Ingame to obtain a Yellow Key.
   • If you'd like help finding the number, try this site.
     • The machine will guess 3 numbers between 1 and 9 (none repeating), and you will be required to crack the password.
     • Each round you can guess 3 numbers from 1-9 (no repeats) and the machine will inform you how many of the numbers you chose were correct and in the proper location, and how many numbers are correct but not in the right location.
     • You have 5 rounds to guess the correct code or you will be required to restart. When you correctly complete this puzzle, you will obtain the key.
   • Note: In the next floors, you cannot return to the previous floor once you go through each floor's portal.
6. On 5F (tha_t05 59/178)Paste Ingame in the top left corner, click the Eagle Statue to obtain a Blue Key.
   • Insert the Red Key into the crack, followed by the Yellow Key. You will receive the key.
7. On 6F (tha_t06 226/226)Paste Ingame in the very northeast corner, there will be a Gorgeous Statue to obtain Green Key.
   • Choose investigate wheels. The dialog lets you adjust 5 wheels. You will want to adjust them so that they are all in the same configuration, one solution is:
     • 1st small wheel - raise wheel
     • 2nd small wheel - lower wheel
     • 1st big wheel - vertically shift wheel
     • 2nd big wheel - raise wheel
     • 3rd big wheel - raise wheel
   • Here you will obtain the key.
8. Also on 6F (tha_t06 200/181)Paste Ingame walk south and you will find the last mechanism inside a fireplace to obtain a Black Key.
   • Choose Observe, toward the hilt of the sword, insert the sword into the hole, to obtain the key.
9. Once you've obtained all 5 colored keys enter the portal at the center to go to the next floor (tha_t06 120/119)Paste Ingame.
   • Black Key will turn into Black Charm Stone.
   • Note: You cannot enter the portal unless you have all five Keys. If you have any Charm Stones, you must sell them at an NPC first, then collect the corresponding Key before attempting to enter 7F.
10. On 8F you will go to different sets of Shining Crystals and keep talking to different ones until it transforms your key into its corresponding charm stone.
    • Note: The shining crystals on 8F rearrange themselves every 30 min, if they rearrange while you are working on this floor, you may need to back track to the start of the floor.
    1. Talk to the 1st set of Shining Crystals at (tha_t08 46/65)Paste Ingame east of where you just warped in to transform one of key into the corresponding charm stone.
    2. Talk to the 2nd set of Shining Crystals at (tha_t08 47/147)Paste Ingame in the northwest to transform one of key into the corresponding charm stone.
    3. Talk to the 3rd set of Shining Crystals at (tha_t08 94/150)Paste Ingame in the northeast to transform one of key into the corresponding charm stone.
    4. Talk to the last set of Shining Crystals at (tha_t08 93/59)Paste Ingame in the southeast to transform one of key into the corresponding charm stone.
    • You should have Black, Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue Charm Stones before proceeding.
11. With all the magical charm stones, you are now ready to open the pathway to the top of the tower. Make your way through the portal in the southeast corner (tha_t08 112/43)Paste Ingame.
    • Continue traveling up the floors and staircase until you reach the 12th floor.
12. On the 12th floor, only one person needs to enter their colored Charm Stones into the statues in the order below.
    1. Start by placing the Yellow Charm Stone into the Gold religious statue (tha_t12 159/56)Paste Ingame in the northeast direction.
       
    2. Walk south and place the Green Charm Stone into the Green wiseman statue (tha_t12 151/17)Paste Ingame in the southeast direction.
       
    3. Then place the Blue Charm Stone into the third statue (tha_t12 104/18)Paste Ingame in the southwest direction.
       
    4. Place the Red Charm Stone into the fourth statue (tha_t12 96/58)Paste Ingame in the northwest direction.
       
    5. Finally, place the Black Charm Stone into the Dark Devil Statue (tha_t12 129/83)Paste Ingame in the north direction.
    • The pathway to the top of the tower should now appear in the center of the floor. Walk into it to move to the final floor.
13. The final floor consists of walking to the islands (in any order) of the map, sacrificing the proper Fragment, and destroying the monster until the MVP spawns north.
    1. On the northeast platform you'll find a magic circle (thana_boss 217/167)Paste Ingame . For this you will need to have a Fragment of Misery or you will be unable to proceed.
       • Walk over the magic circle and enter Fragment of Misery. At this time, a Maero of Thanatos will appear, kill it.
         
    2. Proceed to the southeast platform (thana_boss 202/75)Paste Ingame. This time you will need a Fragment of Agony.
       • Without this item, you will be unable to proceed. Place the Fragment of Agony in the magic circle, a Dolor of Thanatos will appear.
         
    3. On the southwest platform (thana_boss 80/76)Paste Ingame, you will need a Fragment of Hatred. When you place the Fragment of Hatred, an Odium of Thanatos will appear.
    4. On the northwest platform (thana_boss 62/171)Paste Ingame, you will need a Fragment of Despair. When you place the Fragment of Despair, a Despero of Thanatos will appear.
       
14. Once all 4 ghosts have been defeated, the party will be summoned to the north platform and after a short speech, Memory of Thanatos will spawn directly next to them. Kill.
15. Following Thanatos' defeat, the party will have 30 seconds to pick up the drops before getting force warped back to 12F. There will be a map-wide announcement that will count down until you're warped. There will be a 2 hour cooldown before he can be summoned again by anyone.

• Talk to Guide Liei (tha_t01 140/78)Paste Ingame who will give you 1,000 zeny for turning in each Cursed Seal, Golden Ornament (Tip: Golden Ornament can be sold for more with Overcharge ability by an NPC), Blue Feather or Red Feather dropped by monsters throughout the tower.
