edit- Currently there are 9 Character Slots available for use.
- Select an empty slot to create a character, here you have a choice to pick a race between Human or Doram .
- Afterwards select your character's Gender, Hairstyle, Hair Color, and your Character's Name
Starting Area
editDepending on the race you selected, you will spawn on different starting areas. Humans will be on a ship while Dorams will start in Lasagna. Here, you will be introduced to an optional tutorial which you can skip.
- Dorams who starts the tutorial cannot leave Lasagna until completing the entire tutorial questline.
- Leaving Lasagna to Izlude costs 200 Zeny.
Heading to Izlude
editIzlude is a satellite town which all new characters begin their adventure, now if you're wondering how to get here when skipping the starting area, we will be using the Navigation System.
- One way is to use the /navi command which will be used throughout the guides found here in iROWiki, now click on this and open the chat box in-game by pressing Enter and lastly paste the copied command to the chat box (Ctrl+V) and hit Enter to send.
- If you don't see anything to click on, refresh the page.
- Arrows will appear, indicating where to go (Note: This is not a perfect system and may sometimes not work or lead you to dead ends).
- Humans will already have arrows to direct them outside the ship, apply the command after leaving the ship.
- Dorams will need 200z on hand for the transport fee, hunt monsters and sell their drops here .
- Another Way to use the Navigation System is to open the Navigation Window.
- This opens the Navigation Window, here you can search for Maps, Monsters and NPC locations using the search function.
Criatura Academy
edit1. Criatura Acedemy is located at the Northern part of Izlude and Humans are required to register before setting off on their adventure, head to and speak with Academy receptionist to register.

3. Talk to Sprakki by the counter for her introductions, then talk to her again for the introduction quest for the Kafra Services.
- Alt+U is the shortcut command to view the Quest Window
4. Move to and talk to the Kafra Employee who will explain the services they provide, afterwards will have you deliver a box to Morris at the Izlude Merchant's Building
5. Find Ur at
6. Talk to the Kid at
- Hunt 2 Lunatics

- Make sure to pick up as much loot as possible to sell for Zeny (at least 500z)
7. Return to the Kid and after some dialogue, talk to Rumin who gives you a Red Herb.
8. Return to Ur who will explain about the basic classes.
9. Go back to Izlude and talk to Morris.
10. Return to the Criatura Academy and find the Healer to show the Combination Kit.
- At this point, you should have reached Job Level 10, else do some tutorials or hunt monsters.
Open your Skill Window (Alt+S) and click on Basic Skill until it reaches +9, then click on Apply and Press Ok.
First Job Change
editNovices who reach Job Level 10 and have Basic Skill Lv.9 can now pick a Class to pursue. The Classes fall into two categories, Main Classes and Expanded Classes:
- Swordman, Mage, Archer, Acolyte, Merchant, and Thief are Main Classes.
- Gunslinger, Ninja, TaeKwon Kid, and Super Novice are Expanded Classes.
- Summoner (Doram) are considered an Expanded Class but operate somewhat differently than the other classes in terms of Job progression.
You also receive a Job Change Map through the RODEX (the in-game mail system) to give you in-game coordinates to the Job Change locations. You can keep this in your inventory even after changing if you chose a Main Class whom will eventually undergo Rebirth. Expanded Classes can discard the Job Change Map after Job Change.
Main First Class Job Change Locations
editYou have 2 options for changing to your First Job Class:
- Talking to the relevant instructor on the 2nd Floor of the Academy
- Traveling/being warped to the relevant Guild and talking to the Guild Leader there
It's better for new players to know where the actual guilds are early on for when they Rebirth, but also changing at their designated guilds provides them with extra skills they would need to otherwise do Job Quests for. Here are the Guild locations for each Main Class:
- Swordman Guild is found in western Izlude .
- Mage Guild is found in northwestern Geffen .
- Thief Guild is found inside the Pyramid, 1 map northwest of Morroc .
- Archer Guild is found at the Archer Village, 1 map north of Payon .
- Mage, Thief, and Archer Classes can take the Kafra Teleport Service in central Izlude:
- Alternatively Thief and Archer can use the Dungeon Teleporter in Eden Group to reach the Thieves Guild inside the Pyramids and Archer Guild near the Payon Cave.
- Requires 500z to sail to Alberta from dock in northeastern Izlude.
- Acolytes will proceed to the Church in northeastern Prontera by walking 1 map west and 1 map north from Izlude.
Expanded First Class Job Change Locations
editUse the Job Change Map you receive at Job Level 10 to pinpoint the location of the Job Change NPC of the Class you chose. The instructors on the 2nd floor of the Academy will be able to warp you to the proper location for free:
- Gunslingers can speak to Lusa who can send you to the Gunslinger's Guild in Einbroch.
- Ninjas can speak to the Ninja Guide who can send you to Amatsu.
- TaeKwon Kids can speak to Arang who can send you to Payon.
- Super Novices requires you to be a Base Level 45 Novice before finding Tzerero in Al De Baran.
Once you have been sent to your respective location, you can use the Expanded Job Change Guides to learn more on how to complete the quest.
Sprakki's Call
editAfter completing your first job change, you are explicitly told to return to Sprakki back at the academy.
NOTE: Skipping this will prevent you from changing jobs after Rebirth so might as well do it now.
Return to Sprakki at the Criatura Academy who introduces you to Lime Evenor
Eden Group
editTalk to Lime Evenor who registers you to the Eden Group and provides you with equipment and the Eden Group Mark.
- Dorams will register by by finding Lime Evenor here .
At this point, you are now free to start your own adventure and the first agenda on your list would be Leveling.
- For those interested, talking to Sprakki continues the questline related to Leno BUT must wait until reaching Level 21 to progress.
Leveling
editSeveral ways to level up includes hunting monsters and fulfilling requests such as:
- Eden Group Leveling Quests
- Bounty Board Quests
- (Level 70) Juno Monster Society
- (Level 70) Gramps Turn-In <Low>
- (Level 30~85) <VIP-Only> Overlook Water Dungeon
Useful Tools
edit- World Map
- Navigation
- Party
- Dungeon Teleporter
- Commerce
- RODEX
- Mercenary System
- (Level 1-99) Beginner Stat & Skill Resetter
- (Level 100+) Stat Reset Options
- (Level 100+) Skill Reset Options
- Eden Group's Merry Badger
Equipment
editEarning Zeny
editFarming Zeny in the earlier levels (1~99) is not a necessity besides for the purpose of transport fees, HP and SP restoration items and other relevant items needed for leveling progression.
Nevertheless, besides selling monster drops to Merchant NPCs, another important tip to earning Zeny is to first know the market and your character.
However, it is very important to know what the players need, what you can farm and to know whether or not it is worth the trouble.
- Quest Items has a catalogue of items used either crafting or for quests, but does not guarantee a sale. For example,
Red Herbs can be farmed 1 map east of Payon and will often have Player-run Buying Stores offering more than the NPC selling price to take them off your hands.
Overall, it is better to balance out Zeny farming and leveling during the early levels (1~99), better opportunities to earn zeny starts at Base Level 100 and beyond.
