Song of Despair (Alt: Poem of the Netherworld) is a 3^rd class active skill available as Maestro and Wanderer.

Plays a numbing melody on a targeted location what will immobilize one enemy within its area of effect temporarily. Requires the user to wield an instrument or whip and each cast consumes a Throat Lozenge.

• A maximum of five melodies can be played before the first one expires.
• This skill cannot be used:
  • Beneath an enemy.
  • In towns.
• This skill affects hidden enemies and does not affect boss monsters.
• In War of Emperium, this skill affects all players except party members.
• Can be removed with Status Recovery and Lion's Howl.
