Summoners are feline adventurers, known as Doram, hailing from another continent across the ocean from Rune-Midgarts called Pasta. Tied deeply to nature’s rhythm, Summoners draw upon the primal elements of earth, sea, and sky with skills based on the natural forces of Animals, Plants, and the Ocean itself. With a playful curiosity and ancient instinct hidden within, they command powerful strength and magic through song, paw, and spirit.

Rather than live a carefree life in their hometown of Lasagna, some Summoners instead join the Vigilante Corporation to help keep their home safe or even adventure to far off lands.

All Doram begin as the Summoner Class until Level 100, when the Spirits transform them automatically into an Advanced Summoner.

NOTE: This class is not recommended for new players as it is difficult/expensive to play effectively until 100+. While their skilltree is simple, gear can be difficult to obtain on your own until later levels and pre- and post-casting times for the worthwhile leveling skills require specific items that may not be achievable easily for your first character.

Job Progression

edit
See Advanced Summoner if you are looking for information on the Advanced Skills of the Summoner Class unlocked at Base Level 100.

A Doram Summoner's max Job Level is 50 prior to Base Level 100. Once they hit that Level, several new "Advanced" skills (which you might have noticed on your Skill Tree) will unlock and can be obtained with Skill Points from that point forward. Their max Job Level also increases to 60 as well.

Job Change Quest

edit

A newly created Doram character automatically starts as a Summoner and does not require a Job Change Quest.

However, once you’ve created your Doram, you will need to complete a series of introductory quests if you wish to leave Lasagna and explore the rest of the game world. These quests get you acquainted with the world, the Class and its Skills, plus other aspects of the game. You also receive several starting pieces of equipment by completing the various requests in this area.

  • It is recommended for a new player to proceed with these, but they can be bypassed by using another character with the Warp Portal skill to send your Summoner to Rune-Midgarts.

Should you continue down this route, your journey begins in the picturesque Ravioli Fields just outside the tiny seaport known as Lasagna. This vibrant village is home to the Doram race and serves as the starting point for your introduction quests with the Vigilante Corporation. For a full run-down on these quests and the village, refer to this guide.

Builds

edit

Summoners can choose between 3 paths: Animal (Physical), Plant (Magical), and Seafood (Support). Due to the abundance of Skill Points compared to a single path's Skills, you will be able to double-dip somewhat into another path with leftover points, usually choosing one of the offensive paths and then getting the support path's earlier healing/buffing skills.

Physical Builds

edit

Lunatic Carrot Beat & Picky Peck

edit

Recommended stats by Base Level 99:

  • STR: 90
  • AGI: 1
  • VIT: 50
  • INT: 1
  • DEX: 90
  • LUK: 1

This build uses the Power of Life to inflict Ranged Physical Damage on monsters with Animal-based skills. Unlike the Archer or Gunslinger, Animal Skills are based on STR for damage with DEX needed for HIT (and to reduce VCT for Picky Peck). VIT for survivability is also recommended but you can swap some of the recommended DEX for more VIT or INT if needed. INT will be for SP or to help with reducing Picky's cast time.

Physical Animal builds can be hard to work with in earlier levels compared to other classes due to the main AOE skill, Lunatic Carrot Beat, having a 1sec FCT and enormous 6sec Cooldown. However, their secondary skill, Picky Peck, is a powerful single target attack that deals with VCT, which will reduce with increasing Stats, and gets stronger based on an enemy's current HP and can dual-cast depending on your Base Level. You will want to get used to using both to ensure survival as you level. Arclouze Dash is a great supportive skill to help with that as it increases AGI and Movement Speed and the core skill, Hide, is perfect for getting out of hairy situations.

With extra skill points, it's recommended to dip into the Seafood-skills for healing and defensive buffs. Tuna Belly is an especially effective healing skill and should be picked up to save on healing consumables.

For this build, it is highly recommended to try to obtain the following pieces of Shadow Gear (often very cheap in player Vending Shops), specifically the shield, to help with leveling as it is the only way to reduce LCB's long Cooldown with refines until 100+:

Primary Skills: Lunatic Carrot Beat, Picky Peck

Complementary Skills: Arclouze Dash, Hide

Magical Builds

edit

Catnip Meteor & Silvervine Stem Spear

edit

Recommended stats by Base Level 99:

  • STR: 1
  • AGI: 1
  • VIT: 50
  • INT: 90
  • DEX: 90
  • LUK: 1

This build uses the Power of Land to inflict Neutral Property Magical AOE Damage on monsters or multi-Element Property Magical Single Target Damage with Plant-based skills. Plant skills are based on INT for damage with DEX helping reduce VCT. VIT for survivability is also recommended but you can swap some of the recommended DEX for more VIT if needed.

Magical Plant builds can be hard to work with in earlier levels compared to other classes (or even compared to Physical Doram builds) due to the main AOE skill, Catnip Meteor, having a 1.5sec FCT, 1sec VCT, and enormous 5sec Cooldown. However, their secondary skill, Silvervine Stem Spear, is a powerful single target attack that can be different Elemental Property Magic Damage and can dual-cast depending on your Base Level. The Element depends on the Skill Level you are using and can be Earth, Fire, Water, Wind, or Ghost. You will want to get used to using both to ensure survival as you level. Silvervine Root Twist is a great defensive skill to help with that as it stops enemies (while dealing damage), Catnip Powdering will weaken and slow monster movement speed briefly, and the core skill, Hide, is perfect for getting out of hairy situations.

Catnip Meteor is also a bit unique in how it works. It has a fixed 7x7 AOE but it drops meteors in random spots among that 7x7 area that explode in 5x5 bursts, each with delayed timing from the initial cast. Additionally, the damage is not all at once but instead every 1 second over a duration of 5 seconds, meaning you could also cast this and lead more enemies into the AOE over time as you wait out the skill's Cooldown.

With extra skill points, it's recommended to dip into the Seafood-skills for healing and defensive buffs. Tuna Belly is an especially effective healing skill and should be picked up to save on healing consumables.

For this build, it is highly recommended to try to obtain the following pieces of Shadow Gear (often very cheap in player Vending Shops), specifically the shield, to help with leveling as it is the only way to reduce CN's long Cooldown with refines until 100+:

Primary Skills: Catnip Meteor, Silvervine Stem Spear

Complementary Skills: Silvervine Root Twist, Catnip Powdering, Hide

Tuna Belly & Tuna Party

edit

Recommended stats by Base Level 99:

  • STR: 1
  • AGI: 1
  • VIT: 90
  • INT: 90
  • DEX: 50
  • LUK: 1

This build uses the Power of Sea to heal wounds on your self or your party with Seafood-based skills.

Tips & Tactics

General Leveling Strategy

edit

Below are three suggestions to efficiently level a new character:

  1. First, get gear and experience for your new character by following this Lasagna Beginner Quest Guide. Note that you do not need to complete all of these quests, but it will make things easier starting out.
  2. Using 19163.png Catherina Von Blood [1], you can level as soon as base level 3-56 in Sunken Ship. Talk to Fisk (alberta 189/151)Paste Ingamealberta.png and pay 250z to go to the Sunken Shipalb2trea.png. You will want to use Lunatic Carrot Beat or Catnip Meteor.
  3. Without using 19163.png Catherina Von Blood [1], using the Geffen Bounty Board Quests kill Roda Frogs until level 21(they drop sticky webfeet that you can sell to players or turn in for the level 56-71 Eden Group Leveling Quests) , then using the Payon Bounty Board Quests kill Bigfoots until level 41. Then, using the Eden Group Leveling Quests and Geffen Bounty Board Quests, kill Orc Warriors, Orc Ladies, and Orc Babies until level 60.
You can accept multiple quests at one time, however when turning in do note that you cannot gain more than 1 full level from a single quest, so do try to turn the quests in when you have a low exp percentage or after you've job changed if you're job level 49.

Affordable HP Recovery

edit

When mobbing or tanking groups of monsters, especially for AOE leveling, Healing Items WILL need to be consumed and often even spammed.

Two popular and cheap healing items are Nepeta Cataria and Fresh Fish due to their cheap cost and low weight:

  • 11602.png Nepeta Cataria can be purchased from Cat Paw Shrimp Merchant in Izlude (izlude 117/165)Paste Ingameizlude.png or Prontera (prontera 137/223)Paste Ingameprontera.png (or in Lasagna (lasagna 166/117)Paste Ingamelasagna.png if starting as a Doram) for only 15z each (11z with max Discount).
  • 579.png Fresh Fish can be purchased from Cooking Merchant (payon 167/134)Paste Ingamepayon.png in Payon or Chef's Assistant (alberta 167/134)Paste Ingamealberta.png at the docks of Alberta, as well as other cities, for only 250z each (190z with max Discount).

For a list of Healing Items, a comparison, and a list of a couple popular Healing Items, please see the main article: Healing Items.

Other Suggestions

edit
  1. Your next class is a Advanced Summoner; you may have to adjust your build accordingly.
  2. Use Eden Group Leveling Quests and Bounty Board Quests to find monsters to kill around your level.
  3. Use Stat Reset to reset your stats as needed to maximize your damage.
  4. Use Skill Reset to reset your skills as needed to maximize your damage.
  5. Use Elemental Converters to increase your damage by changing your weapons element that is strong against the monster's element.
  6. Use ASPD Potions to greatly increase your killing speed at lower levels.
  7. Use the Archer/Mage/Ninja Sniping Maps in Leveling Spots to kill monsters from far away
  8. Useful recovery items for HP/SP (if using heavier items like Meat/Honey, it is advised to RODEX separate amounts to yourself in smaller portions to keep within your weight limit):
  9. Useful DEX or ATK cards:
  10. Useful long-ranged damage increase card:
  11. Useful HP cards:
  12. Useful Utility cards:
  13. May use any of the following gear at lower levels based on your budget:

Stat Descriptions

edit

It is vital that you understand how each status affects your character to play the game well. Below is a summary but go to the Primary Stats page for detailed information.

Melee Weapons - (Axes, Books, Daggers, Katars, Knuckles, Maces, and Spears)
Ranged Weapons - (Bows, Guns, Instruments, and Whips)

Equipment

edit

The Doram race has only a few Race-specific equipment available for use before Base Level 100. If you do not have access to gear made for "All Jobs" that has level requirements under 100, it is strongly recommended to complete the Lasagna Beginner Quests to start you with something.

For Physical Builds, it is recommended to try to obtain the following pieces of Shadow Gear (often very cheap in player Vending Shops) to help with leveling, specifically reducing skill cooldown:

For Magical Builds, it is recommended to try to obtain the following pieces of Shadow Gear (often very cheap in player Vending Shops) to help with leveling, specifically reducing skill cooldown:

Once you become an Advanced Summoner at Base Level 100, many Doram-specific gear opens up for you to use. Refer to that Job's page for more information on what to look forward to.
